Caring Matches - caregiver matching platform California

    Accessibility Statement

    Last updated: August 2026

    1. Our Commitment

Caring Matches is built for families and caregivers of every ability. We are committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

    2. Standard We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

    3. What We Have Done

Steps we have taken across the site include:

    • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate page structure
    • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and decorative markup on the rest
    • Accessible names on icon-only buttons such as favorite, report, and send message
    • Full keyboard operability for menus, dialogs, and forms, with visible focus outlines
    • Form fields paired with clear labels, helper text, and error messages
    • Color contrast that meets AA targets for body text and interface elements
    • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets
    • Responsive layouts that support zoom and larger text sizes without loss of content

    4. Known Limitations

Some areas of the site are still being improved. The swipe based CareMatch experience is easiest to use with a pointer or touch screen, and we also provide buttons so it can be operated with a keyboard. Content hosted by third parties, such as payment checkout pages and reCAPTCHA, is outside our direct control and may not fully match our standards.

    5. Ongoing Review

We review new pages and features for accessibility as they are released and re-check the full site periodically. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing part of how we build Caring Matches, not a one time project.

    6. Feedback and Assistance

If you run into a barrier on Caring Matches, or you need information in a different format, please email hello@caringmatches.com. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and we will respond and work with you on an alternative way to get what you need.

    7. Contacting Caregivers and Families Another Way

If any part of creating a profile or messaging is difficult to use, contact us at hello@caringmatches.com and we will assist you directly so that an accessibility barrier never stops you from finding care or care work.
